Carshare looking for downtown parking

The Kootenay Carshare cooperative wants the City of Nelson to do its part to help bolster the environmentally-friendly scheme.

They’ve asked them to become a member, to market the co-op on Nelson’s website and offer a designated parking spot downtown.

Executive Director Colleen Doyle says they have 150 members in the queen city and the versatility of their 10-vehicle fleet is very appealing.


Members can use a vehicle for as little as 15 minutes for just a few dollars or take it on long runs.

All insurance and maintenance costs are covered by the membership fee.
