Drug users warned of dangers

Nelson Police are urging drug users and anyone considering trying drugs to think twice.

The call comes from NPD, Interior Health and an Emergency Department Physician following 4 recent critical overdoses in the Queen City.

Chief Wayne Holland says police can’t single out one specific drug as the problem, making it hard to determine how to reduce the dangers.


Chief Holland adds the police will attend overdose calls with BC Ambulance but are there to protect everyone on scene, not to conduct an investigation.
