Castlegar looks to get tough on speeding

Officials in Castlegar feel speeders in the area should face the music.

With drier weather and better driving conditions, council says it has become a problem.

One idea discussed by council was to boost signage along Columbia avenue and other busy streets.

Speed bumps were also brought up as a means of slowing people down.

Councilor Kevin Chernoff states that more can be done.

Chernoff also says that more tickets being handed out by law enforcement can serve as a deterrent.
