Nelson film makers picked up by Universal

Some talented Nelson film-makers are taking their skills to the big screen.

The Search For Freedom is an independent documentary which was picked up by Universal Studios.

It looks into action sports such as rock climbing, snow boarding and surfing with some stunning visuals.

Jon Long is the director for this project and also wears the writer and producer hats.

He explains the genesis of the story.

The Search For Freedom will be screened at the Nelson Civic Theater Thursday night at 7:30 pm
