Nelson’s police chief will retire in January.
That’s when Wayne Holland’s five-year contract expires.
He came to Nelson following nearly 30 years with the Vancouver Police Department.
He and his wife plan to return to the Lower Mainland but say they’ll be back to visit Nelson often.
