New Dr’s for Kaslo

It appears the doctor shortage in Kaslo has been addressed.

Interior Health has announced two physicians who’ve been providing locum coverage at the Victorian Community Health Centre will start working September 1st.

Dr’s Fen Smit and Shelina Musaji will share the full-time vacancy. They join Dr Isabelle-Anne Fontaine in providing primary care and emergency services.

There has been ongoing issues with doctor shortages in the community forcing occasional closures of the Monday-to-Friday emergency department.
