Wildfires left to burn

A series of fires being left to burn well east of Kootenay Lake are contributing to the smokey skies.

The five fires 20km east of Riondel and 15km north east of Boswell are in very remote areas.

Here’s Karlie Shaughnessy with our south east fire centre.

The total area that is currently burning is around 430 hectares.
