Paramedicine Program coming to Creston

Creston is the latest BC community to get the Paramedicine Program.

It’s aimed at utilizing paramedics’ scope of practice and improve access to basic health care at home, rather than using emergency services.

Provincial safety director for ambulance paramedics , Corey Viala is on the provincial committee for community paramedicine and says the program has been in the works for a while.

The program is expected to start up in Creston in the fall.
