Nelson City Council is showing it’s support to the Kootenay Lake Partnership in the form of a $2,000 contribution.
This will unlock $12,500 in funding from Columbia Basin Trust to help further KLP’s projects.
Councilor Anna Purcell explains the importance of Nelson’s support and helping them with their shoreline management document.
Purcell also mentions that other lake-based communities are light years ahead when it comes to creating lake management plans.
