The Mayor of Rossland expects a decision soon on how a much-needed new regional sewer line will get across the Columbia River.
Kathy Moore is speaking ahead of next month’s sewer committee meeting and after Trail decided this week to axe plans for a new pedestrian pipe bridge.
The pedestrian bridge idea was dropped by Trail after bids came in at least $5 million over initial estimates.
That leaves the Victoria Street Bridge or going under the river among options to replace the sewer pipe that is currently on the crumbling old Trail bridge.
