Cougar spotted on edge of Nelson

A cougar sighting has prompted a warning from Nelson police.

It was spotted Sunday in the early morning hours in the 2,400 block of Perrier Road heading towards Perrier Lane.

Police ask us to keep the following steps in mind if coming into contact with a cougar that doesn’t run away.

Sightings can be reported to police.
