Another day of inaction so far Friday for wildfire aircraft crews in the Boundary.
The dense smoke refuses to budge because of the prevailing wind direction and the amount of wildfires burning across washington state.

No BC helicopters or air tankers have been able to work on the Stickpin blaze in the US so far even though almost 50 local personnel are on the ground there. The wildfire is under 5 km from the border.
Properties in southern rural Grand Forks and Christina Lake are on evacuation alert because of the risk of flying embers.
Gusts are expected with the possibility of a thunderstorm later Friday.
