Nelson Police Foundation fundraising

After 2 years of getting their ducks in a row the Nelson Police Foundation is ready to launch a major fund-raising initiative.

The foundation was established in 2013.

Chair and former NPD Sergeant Howie Grant explains the charitable organisation is all about special activities above and beyond the NPD’s normal work.

These programs include a vintage police car restoration project involving LVR students and the 3 day boot camp aimed at introducing students to emergency services careers.

The foundation is planning a cuffs and claws gala event in October.
