Chamber merger vote in October

There will be a vote October 24th to decide whether or not to merge the Trail Chamber of Commerce with Rossland.

This from the new Executive Director of the Trail Chamber of Commerce, Audry Lochrie.

The hope is that a merger would help chamber staff work to bolster tourism for both cities, and help attract patrons to downtown businesses.

Lochrie has extensive experience in the tourism industry.

She spent the past 15 years as a tour operator in communities in rural BC.

She has also provided project consulting services for Welcoming Communities, Destination BC, and Aboriginal Tourism BC initiatives.
