Over 70 people turned up for Wednesday night’s meeting in Nelson on BC Hydro’s grohman narrows project.
They’re considering deepening the channel to provide greater flood control on the Kootenay river.
Spokeswoman Sabrina Locicero says there were lots of questions from the public about issues such as water levels, erosion, and archaeological sites.
Locicero says they were able to provide some answers while others will require further studies.
Hydro is trying to decide whether to proceed to the next phase.
