Committee to assist Rock Creek residents

The Midway Resilience Center which served the Rock Creek area during last month’s wildfire is shutting its doors today at 5pm.

But an unmet needs committee has been established to aid residents who are still dealing with the recovery process.

Duties will include an assessment of the best means of spending donated funds while keeping the money in the community.

Here’s committee member and Area Director Vickie Gee.

She adds that they are seeking more funding.

30 Homes were damaged or destroyed in the blaze.
