Habitat for Humanity to help Rock Creek-Westbridge

Habitat For Humanity will be available to residents in the Rock Creek-Westbridge area who were effected by the wildfire last month.

30 homes were lost in the blaze.

Executive Director of the Southeast BC branch is Bob Huff.

He figures the people of the Boundary area should be able to make a full recovery in wake of the devastation.

Huff adds their main concern will be assisting those who did not have fire insurance, but they are unsure as to how many of the homes are involved.

Fundraising has started.

Before construction begins there will be a series of engineering assessments to gauge whether existing foundations can be used.
