Castlegar awards new concession contract

A contract for a concession vendor for the Castlegar’s Celgar Pavilion in Millenium Park has been awarded.

It went to the Castlegar and District Community Service Society who will be handling food and beverage duties through 2016 with an option available for 2017.

Councilor Sue Heaton-Sherstobitoff says the new vendors should be getting to work quite soon.

It came to a close vote, with some councilors feeling the contract was awarded too hastily with only a few weeks of service available for the remainder of the year.
