Emergency vehicles in Trail will get their right of way during the Victoria Street bridge repairs.
The city’s only Columbia River crossing will be undergoing shutdowns forcing just one lane of traffic either way.
Regional Fire Chief Terry Martin spoke with the company in charge of the project.
Six weeks have been allotted for repairs but it is expected to finish earlier.
The eastbound lanes will be the first to be shut down.
Lane closures begin September 14th.
