Bear visits too close for comfort

Multiple sightings and visits by bears in residential areas has Creston WildSafe BC officials concerned.

Community Coordinator, Trish Drinkle is urging people to get rid of any attractants and report any sightings.

She says people think they are helping by not calling it in, but they’re not.

Drinkle says yellow signs that state “Bear in Area” Have been put up in the three areas – Beam Road, Goat River Road and 10th Avenue North, where bears have been spotted.
