Rossland mayor Kathy Moore says she’s hearing both sides of the issue from local residents as they prepare for their public meeting on the proposed pipe/pedestrian bridge Friday.
Rossland’s borrowing for the sewer line will go up to a $1.8 million share of the $7.2 million.
That means a $117 parcel tax per year for a maximum of 25 years.
But Moore says the 25 year payback period may end up being shorter as Rossland is set to see a cost decline under the new regional sewer flow formula.
A drop-in public open house info format will run at Rossland City Hall Friday from 4pm till 7pm.
