Nelson golf course development:affordability key factor

The man behind a proposed residential development on Nelson’s Granite Pointe golf course says price is a major factor behind council approval for his re-zone.

Pat Davis with West Creek Developments was speaking after council okayed the move to allow up to 30 units to be built on Choquette avenue in Rosemont.

There was plenty of opposition from neighbours about the size of the project and traffic safety.

But City Council figured the development meets density and affordability goals laid out in the official community plan.
