Funding approved for homeless outreach

A presentation at Trail City Council from the Getting To Home initiative was well-received .

The aim was to engage council to find the best solutions for those in need of housing and issues with aggressive panhandling.

Residents have lodged complaints regarding some of the “unruly characters” downtown.

Jan Morton outlines who they are helping.

Council allocated $15,000 to assist the organization with staffing needs.

They will be taking part in Friday’s Coins For Change fundraiser.
