Advocating for a new Trafalgar School

Trafalgar Middle School parents in Nelson are hoping to kick start the process of finally getting a replacement for the delapidated building.

It was built in the 1920’s and is falling apart.

Andrew Jones the Co-chair of the school Parent Advisory Council says parents were surveyed and the state of the school is the priority.

The PAC will host a meeting at 6:30 Tuesday evening at the school and local MLA Michele Mungall will be there.

It’s been six years since talk of a new super school on the site and it is a top priority for SD 8 but the Ministry says it has no funds for a replacement.
