RDCK looking at task force to help mentally ill

The RDCK is going to the Union Of BC Municipalities in Vancouver this week with a key item on their wish list.

As Rural Director Ramona Faust explains it’s the growing issue of mental health in communities and the stress that puts on police, individuals who need more help and their families.

She says they’re calling on the Ministry Of Health to set up a task force.

The task force would investigate funding levels, treatment and management of people who are in mental distress.
