Creativity center eyed for corridor

Could the corridor between Kaslo and Nelson become a nationally acclaimed centre for creative thinking?

That’s the ambition of Randy Morse, the Director of the Kaslo Institute.

They have plans to set up the Kootenay centre for applied creativity, what he calls “a think and do tank”.

The non-profit Kaslo Institute would buy a hotel and make that the hosting venue and revenue-source for gatherings on TV,film, new media and publishing.

Nelson would be included via fibre optic link.

The plan is modelled after a successful one on Fogo Island in Newfoundland.
