Fruitvale seniors gym a big hit

The village of Fruitvale says 70 is the new 50.

Seniors in the village now have access to their own workout facility in the basement of the Fruitvale Memorial Center.

Mayor Patricia Cecchini says the gym has been a hit.

She adds there will be senior specific services available such as the “Work out with your doctor program”.

This sees doctors coming in to check blood pressure and run other health tests.

Fruitvale is provincially recognized as an age-friendly community.
