New student software comes under criticism

Our local MLA is asking why the BC Government didn’t see the issues coming with their new student information computer system.

Glitches have been blamed for enrollment inaccuracies that left local districts short on teacher numbers.

Nelson-Creston new democrat, Michelle Mungall, asked the questions in the BC Legislature.

Education Minister Mike Bernier says everyone has been working around the clock to address the problems with the brand new system.

Mungall says this is just the latest in a long line of expensive BC Government computer failures and mismanagement of the education system.
