Economic development to encompass agriculture

Discussions continue around a unified approach to economic development for the Creston Valley continue.

Creston Mayor, Ron Toyota says the goal is to grow what the area already has, agriculture.

Toyota says developing the agri-tourism and agri-food sectors are key.

The Creston Valley Chamber of Commerce is the latest to join the town and RDCK areas B and C in talks around refocussing the direction of economic development.
