Miners Hall reno – will the interior get done?

It would be a set back if the whole of the Miner’s Hall renovation in Rossland can’t happen.

This from mayor Kathy Moore following a decision not to create a $325,000 reserve fund before it goes to tender.

The project will cost about $200,000 more than when first estimated in 2014.

Moore says while the roof and exterior are priorities it is also important to get the attic ‘green room’ space completed.

But Moore says they can’t justify using more taxpayers dollars on the $1.1 million reno.

So the attic phase may have to wait if no grants come forward.
