Nelson street culture group seeks grant funding

An opportunity for funding could help prioritize resources when addressing Nelson’s street culture.

This form City Councilor Michael Dailly who is speaking to a recent grant application request from the Street Culture Collaborative for $5,000 in funding through the BC communities capacity building program.

He says there are plans in place for the potential funding injection.

He says it is a challenge addressing provincial and federal government mandates which require the city to address housing and health care issues with those who are living in poverty or with mental health issues.
