The Lower Kootenay Band near Creston will have to wait longer for their much-needed health building.
Chief Jason Louie says he understood they were at the top of the list for the First Nations Health Authority Funding.
He says this was not the case and it was awarded to a different band within the Ktunaxa Nation.
Louie says the band is currently using a house to deliver limited community-based health services and adds this takes away a home from a family.
He expects the project to start up again in 2017.
