Can more be done on Trail governance transparency?

Is Trail city council transparent enough with their Governance and Operations Committee (GOC) meetings?

The general feeling among council is “yes”.

This as all meetings are open to the public and all decisions are posted on the city’s website.

But councilor Robert Cacchione says that doesn’t always tell the whole story.

The GOC meetings generally start early in the afternoon but council will make them more accessible by having them start later in the afternoon, closer to the regular evening city council meetings.

The city had looked into webcasting the meetings but it was deemed too expensive.
