Parents happy to give Bernier message

The Chair of the SD8 Parent Advisory Council says it was important Minister Bernier got to see parents rallying for more funding.

Sheri Walsh says it’s a matter of government priorities.

She says Nelson could probably handle some closures and reconfiguration as part of the district’s cost-saving plans.

But the loss of one of the Slocan Valley schools for example would be a devastating blow there.
