Nelson Water Forum paves way for more dialogue

The sold-out water forum in Nelson -Hot and Bothered in the Kootenays- has made an excellent start on engaging community about the future of our water sources.

This from one of the organisers Valerie Warmington who notes over fifty  decision-makers were at the table for the policy day.

Our region is faced with higher than average temperature increases, glacier degradation and the need for more wildfire mitigation efforts.

Because the public day at the event was sold out there will be a special summary and discussion evening on Wedneday May 11th at the United Church.
