Canyon street getting painted parking stalls

Painted parking stalls are coming to the main drag in Creston.

For first time in a long time , Canyon street in Creston will have parking lines.

Manager of Engineering for the town, Colin Farynowski says drivers have been relying on old parking meter posts as guides since the meter heads were removed a few years ago.

He says crews will work at night.

They’re expected to start friday and finish up early next week.

The just over $22, 000 project is included in this year’s budget.
