Creston proclaims new environmental day

The environment was a talking point at Creston’s most recent council meeting

Councillors proclaimed June 7th as “Clean air, water, and soil day” with the intention of incorporating it into the towns official community plan.

The O-C-P will be executed over the next two years.

Councillor Johanna Wilson outlined a few of their ideas.

The newly proclaimed day was bought up by a class from Canyon-Lister elementary school who joined the Blue Dot program – an extension of the David Suzuki foundation.
