Fruitvale park to get facelift Saturday

An event tomorrow in Fruitvale to help get the new railway park ready for the summer.

FortisBC is hosting its Community Giving Day.

Company spokeswoman Amy Bunton says the event is about giving back to the community.

Fortis employees, village staff and volunteers will be on hand planting shrubs and installing benches in the new park area.

The event starts tomorrow morning at 9:30 and runs till noon.
