A much needed boost for Kaslo’s underserved health care sector.
This as the village has been named one of 31 communities under Interior Health’s watch to be granted a paramedicine program.
Rural Kaslo Regional Director Aimee Watson says the program will be crafted and implemented by the community to suit its needs.
Watson says this will help address some gaps in the area’s health care model.
The community has been without 24-hour ER care for years and has no weekend service.
