Conference focused on economic development

Elected officials from the East and West Kootenays are back from their annual conference.

“The Kootenays – a Great Place to Do Business” was the theme at this year’s conference.

Area-B RDCK Director Tanya Wall says the sessions were driven by the concept of regional economic development.

She says the conference was reassuring as the Creston Valley is embarking on a unified economic development and marketing model.

Wall says long term goals include extending that to include other parts of the Kootenays.
