Paulson Bridge guard rail damaged after crash

The Paulson Bridge on Highway 3 in the Boundary is open to single-lane alternating traffic as crews inspect damage caused by Tuesday’s truck incident.

The tractor-trailer unit flipped and shed is load of lumber late afternoon completely shutting off the bridge for about five hours. Things started moving again at 9:30 pm.

A local Ministry of Transportation official confirmed some guard rail damage was caused to the structure and engineers were to be checking that Wednesday and deciding how to address that.

The single-lane alternating traffic flow was expected to continue at least through Wednesday.
