Resurfacing project for Great Northern Trail

The Nelson – Salmo Great Northern Trail will be undergoing a transformation of sorts.

The popular hiking and cycling area will be getting resurfaced.

This from Regional District Director for Area E Ramona Faust.

She says the existing surface is a mixture of dirt and gravel and has served it’s purpose.

Work on the project is expected to begin in July or August and will be mainly focused on the area between the Mountain Station and Svoboda trailheads.
