Decision made on Creston skatepark

The verdict is in for Creston’s skatepark.

The existing skatepark at the community complex in Creston will be permanently closed and demolished.

But the RDCK already has plans in motion for a new one to be built.

Manager of Recreation, Randy Fediuk says they will apply for the next round of CBT rec infrastructure grants.

He says if a new consultant is required, the project will be done in two phases.

Fediuk anticipates a new skatepark would have to be built in a different location as the current one has a number of issues attached to it.
