Age friendly initiative gets rolling in Salmo

The Village of Salmo is set to craft an age friendly action plan geared at making the area more accommodating for seniors.

The initiative will be based on results from a survey which was completed by 10% of Salmo’s population with a number of responses coming from residents who are over 70.

$24,000 has been set aside by the village to boost age friendly initiatives.

A community forum to discuss areas of priority goes Tuesday evening at the Salmo Valley Youth and Recreation Centre at 6-30 pm.
