Castlegar Fire dispatch to Kamloops

Castlegar’s emergency fire and rescue dispatching service will be done through Kamloops for the next five years.

City council has approved the agreement which is set to take effect July 1st.

Here’s Fire Chief Gerry Rempel.

Dispatching had previously been provided from the city of Cranbrook Emergency Services but they are ceasing the service.

Rempel has met with personnel from Kamloops Fire Dispatch and says they fulfill all their requirements.
