New management for Civic Arena

The Civic Arena in Nelson has new management, but what does that mean for it’s future?

The city has handed the facility over to the RDCK following the recent dissolution of the Regional Sports Council.

Here’s Councilor Janice Morrison.

Morrison says there are a lot of possibilities as to what it could be used for if the city were to get rid of the ice surface but she says she’d like to see the ice stay.

The arena will operate as usual for at least one more season.
