Keep Winlaw Elementary open: PAC Chair

The community has done everything asked of them, so Winlaw Elementary should not close.

This from former PAC Chair Claire Kelly.

She is speaking following the turn out of around 400 people to the board meeting at W E Graham Tuesday night.

She says four years ago they were told by the school board to make changes, and they did.

Kelly says it’s not the community’s job to create a business plan for the under-utilized W E Graham school 20 kilometers away.

That’s where the board is pondering sending the Winlaw kids should they close it in order to save long term costs.
