A Castlegar city councilor has passed away unexpectedly.
Kevin Chernoff died Tuesday morning.

Kevin Chernoff was first elected to city council in 2005 and had served on all succeeding councils until his passing.
He was a life-long and active member of the community and the owner of Trowelex rentals and sales.
