Low turn-out for Grand Forks by-election

A disappointing turn out for the Grand Forks by-election on the weekend.

Chief Electoral Officer for the city Diane Heinrich explains that 889 people voted and there were just over 2,900 registered voters so that’s a turn-out of about 30%.

Bev Tripp will fill the vacant council seat June 13th. She won the election with 280 votes.
