Questions asked about Osprey ferry damage

How valid is the province’s main reason for considering a relocation of the Balfour ferry terminal?

Area E Director Ramona Faust says there are questions about the Ministry Of Transportation’s concern that the Osprey 2000 vessel is being damaged as it hits the shallow lake bottom on the West Arm.

Faust says she trusts local ministry officials to thrash out all the pros and cons and hopes the community fully engages in the public consultation process which starts June 15th.

Local business losses and impacts to queen’s bay properties are major factors in any possible relocation.
